With the victory in the Champions League 2012, ttc berlin eastside was the first German women's club to bring the title to Germany. In the 2013/2014 season, the ttc berlin eastside with the line-up of Xiaona Shan, Georgina Pota, Kristin Silbereisen and Irene Ivancan under the coach Irina Palina was the first German women's table tennis team to win the triple of German champions, German cup winners and Champions League winners. In 2014/15 the ttc won the national double. In the following season, the capital team again brought the triple to the Spree and remained unbeaten in all 32 games of the season.

history

The roots of the club go down to the 1,955 in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg founded SC Unit Berlin back. As early as 1956, the women's team became champions of the GDR. She defended this title in 1957 and 1958.

On February 18, 1963, the SC unit merged with the clubs SC Rotation Berlin and TSC Oberschöneweide (who also successfully operated table tennis) to form the new club TSC Berlin . In the period that followed, the women became GDR champions four times in a row from 1964 to 1967. In 1967 the table tennis department was outsourced to BSG foreign trade in Berlin . Under this name, the women's team won the European Cup in 1968 and 1969 and was GDR champion 13 times from 1968 to 1981. The most successful player during this time was Gabriele Geißler , who reached the final at the 1969 World Cup . The men's team at BSG Außenhandel Berlin was also GDR champions twelve times from 1970 to 1982.

After reunification , the club dissolved and the players rejoined TSC Berlin . Because of a name collision with a West Berlin club, the club had to change its name to Berlin TSC in 1992 . In 1999 the table tennis athletes left the Berlin TSC again and became independent under the name 3B Berlin . 3B is the name of the main sponsor, a service provider for building cleaning.

In 1997 the women's team was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. In 2002, 2004 and 2007 it won the ETTU Cup . During this time, manager Rainer Lotsch († July 2007) made a significant contribution to the company's success.

Successes in the youth field were evident at the German championships for girls in 1991 and for boys in 2001.

After being renamed ttc berlin eastside eV, the team won the European Champions League Women in the 2011/2012 season . In the final against SVS Ströck , the Berlin team narrowly prevailed in the two legs . The lead was just one set more won. What was significant about this victory was that each of the players (Pota, Ivancan, Lovas) contributed points to the overall victory. The team Georgina Póta , Irene Ivancan , Petra Lovas and Polina Michailowa, under the direction of trainer Irina Palina and manager Tanja Krämer , brought this title to Germany for the first time.

The absolute highlight in the club's history so far came in the 2013/2014 season. The ttc berlin eastside won the triple with Shan Xiaona , Irene Ivancan , Kristin Silbereisen and Georgina Póta . First, the team won the reintroduced German Cup (German Cup Championships for Women - Final 4) - and at the same time the first national title. In the Champions League, the team defeated the favored team from Fenerbahce Istanbul both in the first and second leg , bringing the Champions League victory to Germany for the second time. The coronation came with winning the German championship. This made ttc berlin eastside the first German women's club team to win the coveted triple. The coach of the triple winner was Irina Palina.

In the 2014/2015 season, the ttc with the line-up Xiaona Shan, Petrissa Solja, Georgina Pota and Kristin Silbereisen won the national double (German championship, German cup). At the national level, the team remained undefeated this season. In the Champions League, the semifinals were the final destination against the eventual title holder Fenerbahce Istanbul.

In the 2015/2016 season, the ttc berlin eastside made the triple with Petrissa Solja, Xiaona Shan, Georgina Pota, Yui Hamamoto and Miyu Katō . The team remained undefeated in all 32 games of the season. Once again, Irina Palina was the trainer and coach of the successful team. In 2016/17 the triple was won for the second time in a row and for the fourth time overall.
