Petra Lovas

Petra Lovas (born July 4, 1980 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian table tennis player . She took part in eight world championships and two Olympic games and was European team champion in 2007.

Career

Petra Lovas became Hungarian team champion with the Statisztika-Metalloglobus club in the 1996/97 season. She won this title again in 2006/07 with Postás Matáv Budapest. In 2002 she was national champion in doubles with Mária Fazekas , as well as in 2013 with Georgina Póta , in 2007, 2010 and 2011 as well as in the individual competition.

From 2006 to 2013 she was nominated for all eight world championships . Here she reached sixth place in the team competition in 2006, fifth place in 2008 and seventh place in 2010 . Otherwise she never came close to medal ranks. Her greatest success so far was winning the 2007 European Championship with the Hungarian team. European Championship 2008 she reached the final with the team.

In 2008 and 2016 she qualified for participation in the Olympic Games , where she competed individually. In 2008 she lost in the first round to Eva AdorovAi (Slovakia). In 2016 , she won against the Egyptian Nadeen El-Dawlatly and then eliminated in the second round against Ri Myong-sun (North Korea).

From 2010 to 2013 Petra Lovas played for the German Bundesliga club ttc berlin eastside and won the ETTU Champions League with its women's team in the 2011/12 season . In 2013/14 she won the ETTU Cup with SVS Ströck .
