Isolde Woschee (born November 14, 1941 ) is a German table tennis player . She is a two-time GDR champion.

Career

Isolde Woschee grew up in Halle with her older sister Inge and her brother Falko. In 1952 she began playing table tennis at the BSG Einheit Halle association. In 1955 she reached the final of the GDR youth championship, which she lost to her sister. In doubles, she won the title with her sister. In 1956 she joined the club SC Einheit Berlin with which she was GDR team champion in 1957. In 1958 and 1959 she was GDR individual champion among adults. Internationally, she was used in 1958 at the European Youth Championship, where she won silver in doubles with Christa Bannach . She also took part in the 1958 European Championship for adults . In 1959 she was nominated for the world championship. In the GDR ranking list, she took fourth place in 1958. Your last club in the GDR was Einheit Halle.

At the beginning of 1960 she left the GDR for the Federal Republic and first joined the Stuttgarter Kickers , then the upper division club ASV Wuppertal and in 1960 the Barmer TTC blue-white-gold . In 1962 she moved to Post SV Köln. At the German championships in 1961 she was second in doubles with Gerda Schlerth . Two years later she won bronze in doubles with Monika Lau, who also came from the GDR . She married Gernot Thiel in 1964. In the mid-1970s she played with ASV Wuppertal in the league.
