Ute Mittelstädt - later Ute Losert - (* 1940 ) is a German table tennis player . She was one of the best players in the GDR in the 1950s and won four national titles.

National successes

Mittelstädt began playing table tennis at the Motor Eisenach club in 1951 and later switched to SC Einheit Dresden . Her first success was winning the GDR youth championship in 1956. A year later, she won the GDR championship in doubles for adults with Liane Rödel . She reached the final in 1959 in singles and 1960 in doubles with Doris Kalweit . With the women's team from SC Einheit Dresden, she was East German champion three times in a row from 1959 to 1961.

In 1958 Mittelstädt took second place in the GDR rankings. A year later she was awarded the honorary title of Master of Sports .

International appearances

In 1957 Mittelstädt took part in the individual competitions of the world championship. In 1959 she was also used in the GDR team, with which she came in 10th. She was also nominated for the 1958 European Championship .

Private

In 1959 Mittelstädt married and then appeared under the name Ute Losert . She has two children.
