René Keller (lawyer)

René Keller (born June 29, 1900 in Strasbourg ; † December 15, 2003 in Rüeggisberg ) was a Swiss lawyer and senior auditor in the military justice sector .

René Keller was born on June 29, 1900 as the son of Josef and Rosa Martha Keller in Strasbourg. He completed a law degree in Bern . In 1924 he obtained the Bern advocate patent . From 1925 to 1929 Keller worked as a lawyer in Huttwil . From 1929 to 1943 he was president of the Aarwangen court . From 1944 to 1965 he served as the Bern public prosecutor . In addition, he was from 1949 to 1951 mayor of Herzogenbuchsee . René Keller, who was married to Elisabeth (nee Burger), died on December 15, 2003 in Rüeggisberg.

From 1934 to 1945, Keller acted as examining magistrate and auditor for the military justice system . From 1946 to 1951 he held the office of major judge. Most recently he was head auditor at the head of the military justice system from 1952 to 1968. Keller held the rank of brigadier .
