FSV Kroppach
The FSV Kroppach 1919 eV is a sports club from Kroppach in the Rhineland-Palatinate Westerwaldkreis with the sports football , table tennis and volleyball . FSV stands for football sports club .
The table tennis department is known nationwide. The women's team plays in the Bundesliga and has been German champions seven times so far (May 2015), namely in 2002 and 2008 to 2013. Two women's, three men's and two youth teams are registered in the 2010/11 season. The first men's team plays in the major league .
Career women
The women played in the district league in the mid-1990s. They then rose five times in a row by the 1999/2000 season and reached the Bundesliga . Here in 2000/01 they immediately came second behind FC Langweid . A year later they won the German championship and also the European Cup for the first time . From 2008 to 2013, Kroppach won the German championship title six times in a row. In the Champions League they reached the final in 2008 and 2009, which they lost. At the end of the 2012/13 season, Kroppach withdrew the team from the Bundesliga. Personal reasons were decisive, as the majority of the supporters are of advanced age.
