Li Nan

Li Nan (born June 17, 1982 ) is a Chinese table tennis player who won several titles at the Asian Championships in the early 2000s.

Career

Li Nan comes from a table tennis family. Both her father Li Zhenshi and her mother Zhang Li were multiple world champions. Li Nan is married to the German table tennis player and trainer Stefan Feth .

From 1999 to 2007, Li Nan was nominated for four world championships , where she only competed in individual competitions. She reached the semi-finals in 1999 in singles and in 2003 in mixed with Wang Hao . In 2000 and 2003 she took part in the Asian Championships , where she reached the finals both times in the individual and was Asian champion with the Chinese team. In 2003 she also won the title in doubles with Guo Yan and in mixed with Liu Guozheng .

She qualified three times to take part in the Pro Tour Grand Finals , in each of which she achieved top places in doubles: 1999 semi-finals with Lin Ling , 2002 silver with Zhang Yining and 2003 bronze with Guo Yan . In 2002 she was invited to the World Cup as a replacement for the non-competing Wang Nan . Here she made it to the final, in which she was defeated by Zhang Yining.

Li Nan's best placement in the ITTF world rankings was fourth, which she held for several months in 2002.

In 2007 Li Nan moved to the German Bundesliga for FSV Kroppach , where she is still registered today (2011).
