Krisztina Tóth (born May 29, 1974 in Miskolc ) is a former Hungarian table tennis player . She won several titles at European championships in the 1990s and 2000s .

youth

Krisztina Tóth came to table tennis through her uncle, who played in the 1st Hungarian league. She achieved her first successes on an international level at the European Youth Championships. Here she won the double competition together with Vivien Ellö in 1988, 1990 and 1991. In addition, she was European youth champion in singles in 1991, in mixed with Zoltán Varga in 1990 and with the Hungarian team in 1988 and 1991.

National successes

Krisztina Tóth was the Hungarian team champion from 1987 to 2000, first with the Statisztika Budapest ( Statisztika Petőfi SC ) club (1987–1990), then with the Statisztika Metalloglobus (1990–1998) and finally again with the Statisztika Petőfi SC (1998 -2000). She was Hungarian champion six times in a row in singles (1995-2000) and doubles (1994-1999), and she also won in 1994, 1997 and 2002 in mixed.

In 2000 she left Hungary for Germany.

European championships

In 1994 Tóth was nominated for the European Championship for the first time . Right away she was European champion in doubles with Csilla Bátorfi . With the same partner, she won this title again in 2000 , and lost in the final in 2003 and 2005 . From 2007 she played doubles with Georgina Póta , with whom she was second. A year later they won the title. In the individual, Tóth was twice vice European champion, namely in 1996 behind Nicole Struse and in 2002 behind Ni Xialian . Tóth achieved further title wins in mixed 1996 with Wladimir Samsonow and 2003 with Werner Schlager and 2000 and 2007 with the Hungarian team.

More Achievements

From 1996 until today (2010) she took part in all European ranking tournaments TOP-12 . It came in second in 2005, third in 2003 and 2010. She has been nominated for world championships thirteen times since 1993 . She achieved her best result in 1995 in doubles when she won bronze with Csilla Bátorfi . In 1996, 1999 and 2000 she qualified in the ITTF Pro Tour tournaments for participation in the Pro Tour Grand Finals . She also started at the Summer Olympics in 1996 , 2000 , 2004 and 2008 .

Germany

In 2000 Krisztina Tóth came to Germany and joined the Bundesliga club TV Busenbach . In the 2006/07 season, the German team champion with the TTC Langweid . Then she moved to FSV Kroppach , with whom she became German champion in the following two years. In 2013 she moved to TTC Langweid in the 2nd Bundesliga. At the same time she ended her international career. In 2018 she was signed by SV DJK Kolbermoor - coming from Königsbrunn .

Since April 1, 2013 Krisztina Tóth has been working for the Bavarian Table Tennis Association as a speaker for competitive sports .
