Niu Jianfeng (born April 3, 1981 in Baoding ) is a Chinese table tennis player who won the Asian Championships several times and the bronze medal in doubles at the 2004 Olympic Games .

Career

Niu Jianfeng's first international success was winning the 1997 Asian Youth Championship individually and with the team. She repeated this success, Asian champion individually and in a team, in 2003 with the adults. In 2005 she reached the semi-finals in singles and the final in doubles with Guo Yue .

From 2001 to 2005 she was nominated four times for world championships . In 2004 she won gold with the Chinese team, in 2003 and 2005 silver in doubles with Guo Yue . In mixed with Qin Zhijian , she reached the semi-finals in 2003.

She also had several successes at the Pro Tour Grand Finals . Here she was first three times, namely in 2002 in doubles with Li Jia and in 2003 in singles and doubles with Guo Yue. She came in second in 2001 and 2004 in singles and in 2004 in doubles with Guo Yue.

A great success was winning the bronze medal in doubles with her regular partner Guo Yue at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

In the ITTF world rankings , Niu Jianfeng was ranked second in December 2004 and most months of 2005. After 2007 she stopped appearing internationally.

In 2010 she studied at the Beijing Sports University and ran a table tennis school.
