Li Jia ( Chinese李佳, Pinyin Lǐ Jiā ; born May 4, 1981 in Jinzhou ) is a Chinese table tennis player .
Career
Li started playing table tennis at the age of seven. She was accepted into the team in her province in 1990, and in 1997 she made the leap to the Chinese national team .
In 2001, the Chinese won the Danish Open in singles and the Korean Open in doubles, which made her qualified for the Pro Tour Grand Finals in the same year.
Here Li won the bronze medal in singles and doubles. In 2002 she was able to take part in the Grand Finals again due to good performances and won gold together with Niu Jianfeng . In 2003 she played at the World Cup , where she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Li Ju and thus won bronze. She did not take part in the individual competition.
In 2016 she was active in the Chinese Super League .
