Qin Zhijian ( Chinese 秦志戩 / 秦志戬 , Pinyin Qín Zhìjiăn ; born October 5, 1976 in Zhenjiang ) is a former Chinese table tennis player . He played successfully in men's and mixed doubles.
With Yang Ying he won bronze in mixed at the 1999 World Championships , and in 2001 the couple became world champions. In 2003 Qin Zhijian took bronze again in mixed, this time with Niu Jianfeng . At the beginning of 2006 he ended his career as a competitive athlete in order to continue working as a trainer.
Qin has been the head coach of the men's national team and long-time coach of Ma Long since spring 2017 .
