Kate Duchêne

Kate Duchêne (born Catherine Anne Purves Duchêne , born January 5, 1959 in London , England ) is a British actress .

Kate Duchêne was born in England, but moved to France just three weeks after she was born. In 1962 she returned to the English city of Brighton on the English Channel ( East Sussex ), where she still lives today. Duchêne began acting at the age of 14. In the 1980s, however, she also worked briefly as an English teacher in Spain. In 1986 she returned to England to star in Lucy's Play.

Duchêne's best-known role was that of Konstanze Harschmann, the strict deputy headmistress in the children's series A Lousy Witch , which was broadcast in Germany from 1999 to 2002. After she made a guest appearance in Eine lausige Hexe in Cambridge , the first spin-off of the series, in 2003 , she disappointed many fans when she took on her traditional role again in the second spin-off The New Worst Witch (not German Synchronization) declined.

The actress has also appeared in the British TV series Afterlife and theater productions.

Duchêne is married to Robert Friztgerald. She has two children.
