Katharina Koenigsfeld

Katharina Königsfeld (* 1988 in Bamberg ) is a German pianist .

Life

The pianist and organist Katharina Königsfeld was already the substitute organist at the age of 15 in the Church of St. Stephan in Bamberg and organist of the Wilhelm-Löhe family . Königsfeld has won several prizes in the Jugend musiziert competition both on the piano and on the organ .

After graduating from the musical ETA-Hoffmann Gymnasium in Bamberg, she studied piano with Arnulf von Arnim at the Folkwang University of the Arts from 2007 . Since 2012 she has been studying organ with Roland Maria Stangier at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Katharina Königsfeld was a scholarship holder of the Rotary Club Bamberg . During her studies she received scholarships from the Int. Summer Academy Cervo (Italy) and the Gunter and Waltraud Greffenius Foundation . In 2015 she was a scholarship holder of the Hans Rudolf Foundation .

In 2008 she initiated the classical concert series in Burgellern Castle and in 2010 appeared as a soloist at the closing event Ruhr.2010 . In addition to the solo repertoire, she deals with chamber music and song. She has been working closely with the soprano Meike Albers since 2008. She received musical suggestions from Justus Zeyen , Jan Philip Schulze , Christoph Eschenbach and Matthias Goerne .

Königsfeld gave concerts in the Bamberg Concert Hall , the Philharmonie Essen , the Dortmund Concert Hall and the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum . She has been under contract with Sony Classical since 2014.
