Justus Zeyen

Justus Zeyen (born June 9, 1963 in Kiel ) is a German pianist and song accompanist .

Life

Justus Zeyen first received violin and piano lessons (among others with Cord Garben). In 1980 he successfully took part in the national competition Jugend musiziert and received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation in 1982 and 1986 . After graduating from the Kiel School of Academics in 1982, he studied at the Hanover University of Music and Drama with Martin Dörrie , Karl Engel and Bernhardt Ebert. In addition, he took courses with Erik Werba and Hartmut Höll .

Justus Zeyen's musical focus is chamber music. He gives concerts all over the world as a soloist, but above all as a song pianist. Previous prominent companions were z. B. Juliane Banse , Christiane Iven, Sibylla Rubens, Doris Soffel , Siegfried Lorenz , Michael Schade and Bernd Weikl as well as the choirs of the Bavarian and Süddeutscher Rundfunk. Numerous recordings and radio recordings complement his musical work. Since the first joint concerts as part of the Kremerata Musica in Lockenhaus in Burgenland in 1994, Justus Zeyen has worked regularly with Thomas Quasthoff . Measha Brueggergosman is accompanied by Justus Zeyen in recitals.

Zeyen teaches a. a. Coaching at the music academy in Hanover.
