Patti Cathedral

The Cathedral of San Bartolomeo in Patti is the cathedral of the diocese of Patti , a diocese of the ecclesiastical province of Messina in the ecclesiastical region of Sicily of the Roman Catholic Church .

The church was built in Norman times, after the earthquake of 1693 it had to be almost completely rebuilt. However, the bell tower from 1588 was preserved. In the right arm of the transept is the grave of Countess Adelasia of Sicily († 1118), the mother of Rogers II , who lies in a Renaissance sarcophagus.
