Catholic College of Social Work

The Catholic University of Social Work was a university of applied sciences sponsored by the Trier diocese with a focus on social work in Saarbrücken .

history

The predecessor of the University of Applied Sciences was the Catholic Higher Technical School for Social Work in Saarbrücken. In 1971/72 it became the Catholic University of Applied Sciences for Social Work and then in 2000 the Catholic University of Social Work (KHSA). It was closed on December 31, 2008 due to austerity measures by the diocese. The campus and some courses were taken over by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences, which was founded in 2005 .
