Catholic parish church of St. Florian in Wallern on the Trattnach

The Roman Catholic parish church Wallern an der Trattnach is located in the village Wallern an der Trattnach in Grieskirchen in Upper Austria . It is consecrated to St. Florian and belongs to the Deanery Wels-Land in the Diocese of Linz . The building and the former cemetery area are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The church was first mentioned in a document in 815. In 1411 a house of worship was consecrated. Most of the current building was designed in Josephinism at the end of the 18th century. The church was enlarged in 1884 and 1885. The present church was rebuilt from 1982, whereby the steeple was preserved.

The west tower has a pointed helmet from 1884 and 1885.

Church interior

The single nave nave is flat-roofed. The two-bay choir is currently closed.

Furnishing

The interior is neo-baroque . The pulpit dates from the beginning of the 19th century. In the chancel there is a mission cross from 1895 with a Gothic Christ from Tyrol.
