The St. Hildegard Catholic School, founded in 1971, is a state-recognized primary and secondary school for children and young people with specific needs in the Marienfelde district of Berlin . The school is named after the canonized church teacher Hildegard von Bingen . The school has been part of the Lankwitz-Marienfelde pastoral area since 2017 . School specifics
The school was specially created for children and young people who are unable to attend a "normal" primary or secondary school due to illnesses such as asthma and heart disease or physical disabilities.
The school teaches according to the Berlin framework plans for elementary and secondary schools, which apply to all schools of this level in Berlin. Religious instruction is an integral part of the timetable.
