Kathrin Douglass

Kathrin Douglass (* 1970 in East Berlin ) is a Protestant pastor, worship leader and author of Christian children's CDs.

Shortly after reunification, Douglass studied business informatics in Berlin and then attended the Gospel Art Studio in Munich . She learned singing from the Afro-American opera and gospel singer Michael Flannagan and at a music academy in Johannesburg / South Africa. There she was involved for the first time in a CD and film production for Hosanna! -Integrity-Music. After returning to Berlin, she met her first husband, the guitarist, keyboardist and composer Andreas Jädicke. The two earned their living by dancing from club to club with their jazz and gospel program in Berlin. They performed around 150 appearances a year in this way. Inspired by the birth of their two sons (2001 and 2003), they began to write children's songs. A publisher became aware of the two. In the summer of 2006, Andreas Jädicke died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest - shortly after completing their first CD together. Douglass continued with the children's CD series despite her grief. Since 2007 she has been married to the pastor and author Klaus Douglass for the second time . The two have lived in Eltville am Rhein with their sons since 2010. From 2013 to 2016 Kathrin Douglass studied Protestant theology in Marburg and was then vicar in the Bergkirche Wiesbaden. Since April 2019 she has been active as a pastor in the Protestant deanery Wiesbaden in the communities of Bierstadt and Wildsachsen.
