Kathrin Lietz

Kathrin Lietz , b. Stauber (born July 29, 1968 in Berlin ) is a former German handball player .

She grew up in Dahlwitz-Hoppegarten and came to the Frankfurt Sports School via the Strausberg training center in 1982. In Frankfurt / Oder she did her Abitur. In 1997 she played in Frankfurt, first for ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt and then for the Frankfurt handball club . With the Frankfurt women she won the title of GDR champion several times and was winner of the IHF Cup in 1990 and the Euro City Cup in 1998 .

She completed 31 international matches and won the bronze medal in the squad of the women's handball national team of the GDR at the 1990 World Cup.

Kathrin Lietz works as a primary school teacher at the Beeskow General Special School.

She has been married to Michael Lietz since 1990, with whom she has two children.
