Katja Wiesmann

Katja Wiesmann (* 1972 in Luckenwalde ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Fiscal Court .

Live and act

Wiesmann studied law at the University of Heidelberg . After her first state examination in law, she became a Dr. iur. PhD. She completed her legal clerkship in Thuringia . After completing her second state examination, she initially worked as a lawyer and tax advisor, before joining the higher judicial service of the State of Thuringia on January 1, 2006. There she was initially employed at the Mühlhausen public prosecutor's office and from 2008 at the Erfurt District Court . Later she was employed at the regional court in Mühlhausen . In October 2011 she switched to financial jurisdiction and became a judge at the Thuringian financial court in Gotha. In March 2017 she was elected judge at the Federal Fiscal Court. On November 1, 2017, she was assigned to the Seventh Senate, which is primarily responsible for customs and market regulation law and general tax law and tax advice law.
