Katrin Cartlidge

Katrin Cartlidge (born May 15, 1961 in London , † September 7, 2002 ) was a British actress .

Cartlidge began her career in 1982 on the British soap opera Brookside . In 1993 she starred in Mike Leigh's film Nude , which won an award at the Cannes International Film Festival . In 1996 she appeared in Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves , and in 1998 in Lodge H. Kerrigan's Claire Dolan .

Cartlidge died of pneumonia in 2002 .
