Katrin Hensel

Katrin Hensel (born August 29, 1962 in Neustadt an der Orla ) is a German metallurgist and former member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Hensel, daughter of an employee, attended high school. In 1976 she became a member of the Free German Youth (FDJ). From 1979 to 1981 she completed an apprenticeship as a metallurgist for rolling technology. From 1981 to 1983 she worked as the second block waltz and from 1983 as the first block waltz of the youth brigade "Turtanow" in the VEB Maxhütte (Unterwellenborn) . In 1982 she joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). From 1983 she was union shop steward of the youth brigade and from 1984 FDJ group leader in her company. From 1986 to 1990 she was a member of the FDJ parliamentary group of the Volkskammer and was a member of the youth committee.
