Katrina Carlson

Katrina Carlson (* before 1993 in Paradise Valley , Arizona ) is an American singer-songwriter and actress .

Life

Carlson grew up as the youngest of eleven siblings in Paradise Valley, Arizona. She studied at Brown University from 1984 to 1988 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Foreign Policy and Diplomacy. She then went to New York City , where she attended the Manhattan School of Music and the Brooklyn College opera program.

In 1999, Carlson founded her own music label Kataphonic Records. Two years later she released her debut album, Apples For Eve , from which some songs were used for the television series Lost and Passions as well as for the documentary Go Tigers! were used. Her second album Untucked was released in 2003 and was named Independent Pop Album of the Year at the 13th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards. The single Dive , which was released from the album, was also recognized and named Independent Single of The Year. The two songs Getaway Car and Go-To Girl were each used in an episode of the youth drama series South of Nowhere . In 2007 she released her third album Here And Now , from which her song Feel For Me could be heard in two episodes of the same series.

As an actress, she played a Bajoran officer in the episode The Siege of the science fiction series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1993 and Cheryl in her husband Kenneth A. Carlson's romantic comedy Special Delivery in 1999 , to the soundtrack of which she contributed two songs.
