Katrine Gislinge

Katrine Gislinge (* 1969 ) is a Danish pianist.

Life

Katrine Gislinge received her first piano lessons at the age of six. After graduating from the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen in 1990, she studied a. a. in New York with Seymour Lipkin , at Yale University with Boris Berman and Claude Frank and in London with Peter Feuchtwanger .

In 2006 and 2008, Katrine Gislinge was a juror at the Tivoli International Piano Competition.

Appearances

Katrine Gislinge is a sought-after chamber music partner. For example, she has already performed with Gidon Kremer , Emmanuel Pahud , Augustin Dumay and Gérard Caussé .

Katrine Gislinge also gives piano recitals and has been a guest at many international festivals, e.g. B. at the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico , at the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, at the Lockenhaus Festival and at the Cyclades Music Festival.

As a soloist in orchestral concerts, Katrine Gislinge has already demonstrated her skills under the direction of a. a. by Eri Klas , Okko Kamu , Heinrich Schiff , Kurt Sanderling , Ádám Fischer , Sylvain Cambreling and Gustavo Dudamel .

Awards

Katrine Gislinge won a. a. the gold medal at the Berlingske Tidende Music Competition, the Gade Prize, the Simon Spies Honorary Award, the Noilly Prat Prize, the van Hauen Music Award, the Walther Schröders Piano Prize, the Music Rewievers Society Award and the Merete & Helge Finsen Honorary Award.

Discography

In 1999, Katrine Gislinge was the first Danish pianist to record a CD for Deutsche Grammophon.
