Kautra
UAB Kautra (derived from Kau nas + Tra nsport) is a bus company in the second largest Lithuanian city of Kaunas , one of the largest transport companies in Lithuania. It has several branches ( Alytus , Druskininkai , Prienai ) and subsidiaries (such as UAB “Kautra Cargo” and others). Kautra employs almost 690 people and is managed by the director Linas Skardžiukas.

The first bus company was founded in Kaunas on February 8, 1934. From 1947 there were two buses from Kaunas to Šiauliai . The current company was registered on December 10, 1990. On April 11, 1995 the municipal transport company was reorganized into UAB "Kautra" according to the ordinance of the municipality of Kaunas . In 2009 UAB “Kautra” was named “Lithuanian Carrier of the Year” (“Lietuvos metų vežėjo 2009”) among Lithuanian transport companies.
