Kazimierz Józef Turowski

Kazimierz Józef Turowski (born 1813 ; died 1874 ) was a Polish publisher, publicist, folklorist and poet. He collected and published folklore material: songs, folk tales, proverbs; In 1855 he initiated the book series " Biblioteka Polska " (Polish Library), which mainly includes works from old Polish literature. He was the editor of several magazines, including "Niewiasta" (1860–63). His first small collection of poems "Pierwiastkowe płody" appeared in 1829.
