Kazjurol was a Swedish crossover band from Fagersta that was formed in 1986 and split up around 1991.
history
The band was founded in 1986 by members of the hardcore punk band Rescues in Future as a side project. The band first appeared in 1987 on the split release Breaking the Silence . In 1988 the demo called A Lesson in Love followed . Since the band had a relationship with Peter Ahlqvist , who owned the Uproar Records label and who was later to found Burning Heart Records , the band signed a contract with Uproar Records. Ahlqvist made sure that it was easier for the band to get bigger gigs. The debut album Dance Tarantella was released via Active Records in 1990 , after which singer Kjelle Granqist was replaced by Tomas Bengtsson. On the next EP Bodyslam , Henka “Gator” Ahlberg could be heard as the new singer. On the EP, the band covered Bad Brains , Venom , Stormtroopers of Death and Cro-Mags . The band contributed another hardcore punk cover for the compilation A Tribute of Memories , after which the group covered a song by Discharge . In the cover letter to the Bodyslam review copy, the band took a step back from their album, which was released just a year ago, and vowed to improve, which it could not have done because it broke up afterwards.
style
According to Stefan Glas from Metal Hammer, there are no more hardcore punk influences on Dance Tarantella in contrast to Messenger of Death . Instead, the Thrash Metal influences would have increased. According to Glas, the band is going back to their hardcore punk roots on Bodyslam , as they mainly cover bands from this genre.
