Andrea Held (* 1968 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German textbook author and publisher of Informatik Aktuell magazine .

Life

Held studied mathematics, biology and German at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. She later taught database management systems and " Highly available and robust systems" at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences . Since 1999 she has published articles in specialist journals and since 2004 books with a focus on high-availability database systems.

Her publications appeared at Verlag Addison-Wesley and Carl Hanser Verlag , as well as in specialist journals such as iX - Magazin für professional Informationstechnik , Admin-Magazin and in magazines of Software & Support Media . She is involved in digital education and MINT and is a member of the Developer Week AdBoard.

She is the editor of the specialist magazine Informatik Aktuell , speaker at specialist conferences and the initiator of the Frankfurt Database Days as well as the conference leader of the IT Days , which take place in the congress center of Messe Frankfurt am Main .

Held now lives with her family in Frankfurt am Main.
