The Admin-Magazin (own writing: ADMIN-Magazin) was a cross-platform trade journal , which was last published by Medialinx AG. She turned to Linux , Unix and Windows IT administrators . From March 2010 the journal appeared every two months as an independent publication, from issue 11/2013 it was published monthly. In April 2014, the magazine was taken over by Heinemann-Verlag and integrated into the IT administrator .

Frequency of publication

The magazine appeared monthly on the second Thursday of every month and was distributed in Germany , Austria and Switzerland .

Content

Priority topics were dealt with every month. These came mainly from the server area. Typical topics were:

  • Email, anti-spam, VoIP and web servers
  • Security, intrusion detection, firewalls
  • Server and network monitoring
  • Storage, backup and databases
  • Virtualization, consolidation, cloud computing
  • heterogeneous worlds from Linux, Unix and Windows systems
