Royal Kobayashi
Royal Kobayashi ( Jpn. ロイヤル小林 , Roiyaru Kobayashu ; actually Kazuo Kobayashi ( 小林和男 , Kobayashi Kazuo ); * 10. October 1949 in the district Shimomashiki ) is a former Japanese boxer in the super bantamweight . It was managed by Yoshinori Takahashi and Eddie Townsend .

Kobayashi took part in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich in the featherweight division. On May 22, 1973, he successfully made his professional debut. On October 9, 1975, he became world champion of the WBC association , when he defeated Rigoberto Riasco in round 8 with a classic knockout . He lost this belt in his first title defense in November of the same year against Dong-Kyun Yum by majority decision over 15 rounds.
In 1981 he ended his career.
