The domestic Becker Street is a listed street in the district of Lippe , of Augustdorf by Haustenbeck after Oesterholz leads. It forms a section of the L 942 state road and passes through the Senne military training area . Due to the military maneuvers taking place there , it is only passable at designated times.

history

The road from Augustdorf to Haustenbeck was measured as Haustenbecker Allee in 1880 in the primary cadastre of the Principality of Lippe . The two-sided, single-row linden avenue over a length of around 4.3 kilometers was built around 1920. The basalt cobblestone pavement dates from 1937–39, i.e. from a time when Haustenbeck was dissolved to expand the military training area.

In spring 2003, severe damage was found to a number of linden trees. To maintain the avenue, 18 trees were felled and 27 were cut back, and by 2005 164 new linden trees had been planted to fill in the gaps that had arisen.

The avenue of lime trees was 2013 Avenue of the year of the BUND . Due to the low traffic, the paving and the old trees, it is particularly valuable as a natural area. The street is included in both the Augustdorfer and Schlänger lists of monuments. Haustenbecker Straße is the only paved state road in North Rhine-Westphalia, Straßen.NRW therefore uses it for training purposes .

The L 942 begins as Stukenbrocker Straße in the west of Augustdorf on the L 758. After around 700 meters and a right-hand bend, it takes on the name Haustenbecker Straße . From the edge of the military training area in Augustdorf it runs almost straight south to the former Haustenbeck settlement. The listed avenue is located on this section. In Haustenbeck, after crossing the Haustenbach, it bends north-east-east along the course of the brook, leads through the former outlying settlement of Haustenbeck and bends again in front of the eastern Teutoburg Forest, this time in a south-east direction, and then on the outskirts of Oesterholz leave the practice area. Behind Oesterholz, Haustenbecker Straße joins Fürstenallee (L 937).
