Kebba Ceesay (Seyfo)

Alh. Kebba Ceesay (* December 1938 , † October 3, 2009 ) was Seyfo (also the English term chief is common) for the Gambian district of Niamina Dankunku and former director general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Life

Ceesay attended the Dankunku Primary School from 1951 to 1958 and then the Muhammedan School from 1958 to 1962.

He then started working at the Jenoi Agricultural Center in Jenoi and joined the Gambian Police Force in 1962 with Momodou Gassama , then Director General of the Immigration Service , where he rose to the rank of Police Inspector .

Then Ceesay served in the Gambian domestic intelligence service, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), where he was promoted to the rank of deputy director general for two years. In 1997 he was appointed Assistant Commissioner of the West Coast Region (then Western Division), later Commissioner (now Governor), and then back to the NIA and held the position of General Manager on a four-year contract. After the expiry of the contract at the NIA, Abdoulie Kujabi , who was previously Deputy General Manager, was appointed as his successor as General Manager.

Ceesay was named Seyfo of Niamina Dankunku District in early July 2007, a position he held until his death in October 2009.

The late Kebba Ceesay had three wives and twelve children.
