The Kedam is a patrol boat of the Palau Division of Marine Law Enforcement . The ship was donated to the State of Palau by the Japanese Nippon Foundation and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation . It is the fourth boat in this class that was handed over as part of a funding program. It was delivered on February 12, 2018 and handed over together with a new administration building (Bai ra Bul) and the new landing stage (Melusch Melachel). Japan has invested a total of $ 70 million .

The sister ships are Euatel (2017), Kabekl M'tal (2015) and Bul (2012). The ships are to be used primarily as fisheries protection boats.

The name means " frigate bird ".
