Kedron Barrett

Kedron Barrett (born 1961 in New Hampshire ) is an American painter .

After graduating from St. Paul's School in Concord (New Hampshire, USA) , he studied painting and architecture at Yale University . In 1981 he spent a year studying in Paris. In 1983 Kedron Barrett came to Berlin on a postgraduate scholarship from Yale University, where he still lives and works today.

Barrett's works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, especially in Berlin, but also in Georgia, the Netherlands and the USA.

Barrett's painting as a synthesis between northern moods and Mediterranean influences could be described as temporary expressionism . In his representational compositions, lighting plays a central role. He is particularly dedicated to the printing technique of the monotype .
