Cornelis "Kees" Bekker (born January 26, 1883 in Breda , † December 28, 1964 ) was a Dutch football player .

Career

Bekker played two international matches in 1906 and four in 1908 for the Dutch national football team . In his debut game on April 29, 1906 against Belgium , which the Netherlands lost 5-0, he was team captain. He was unable to take part in the 1908 Olympic Games due to injury.

Bekker played for the club HBS Craeyenhout and was involved in the club's successes from 1900 to 1910, the 1903/04 and 1905/06 Dutch champions and in 1905 and 1907 the Zilveren Bal . In total, Bekker completed 150 games for the HBS and scored 82 goals. He then moved to Be Quick Groningen , where he studied medicine and later became a doctor.
