Constant Feith
Jonkheer Constant Willem Feith (born August 3, 1884 in The Hague , † September 15, 1958 in Bennekom ) was a Dutch football and cricketer and later judge .
Club career
Feith played since April 15, 1903 in the successful first soccer team of the HVV . As a footballer, he was technically not outstanding, but had an unmistakable goal instinct. In a cup game in 1904 against Bussumsche FC, he scored ten goals in his team's 20-0 victory. In the 1906/07 season he scored 53 goals in 29 games. A season later, however, he switched from the storm to the defensive . Up to and including September 26, 1920 Feith played 350 games for HVV, scoring a total of 234 goals, although he played as a defender for the last twelve years. During this time he was five times Dutch champion .
National team
Feith played a total of eight international matches for the national team in 1906/07 and 1912 . He made his debut as a defender in the third official match of the Nederlands Elftal on April 29, 1906 in Antwerp against Belgium , which the Dutch lost 5-0. For his second and third game in April and May 1907, both against the southern neighbors, he switched to attack and scored one goal each, his only goals for the NVB -Elf. After a break of almost five years, he returned to the team in March 1912 in preparation for the Olympic Games , this time again as a defender. At the Olympic football tournament he was used in the round of 16 against hosts Sweden and in the 9-0 win against Finland in the bronze medal match. After the games, his international career in the Orange jersey was over.
In addition to football
Feith was also active in the cricket team HCC, another division of the Hague Club. The HCC was also the Dutch champion several times during this period. Feith also played in the national team in this sport.
In addition to his sporting activities, he studied law , graduated as a Meester in de Rechts (comparable to the Master of Laws ) and went to the Dutch East Indies as a judge .
