The Haagse Voetbal Vereniging (German: Haager Fußball-Vereinigung, abbreviation HVV) is the football department of the Dutch sports club Koninklijke HCVV from The Hague . Founded in 1883, the HVV is one of the oldest football clubs in the country.
Today the HVV only plays in the amateur league of the KNVB . Thanks to its success at the beginning of the 20th century (ten national championships), it is still the most successful football club in the Netherlands after Ajax Amsterdam , PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord Rotterdam .
23 HVV players played in the Dutch national football team - all between 1905 and 1933.
For the HVV were active z. B. Jan van Breda Kolff , Cedric van der Gun , Guus Lutjens , Dolf Kessler , Lo La Chapelle , Lawrence Adam and Karel Heijting .
