Keith Mwila is a former boxer from Zambia and bronze medalist of the 1984 Olympics in light flyweight . He was the first Olympic medalist in Zambia's sports history.
Career
Keith Mwila won the African Championships in Uganda in 1983 and competed in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , USA. With victories against Chung Pao Ming and Mamoru Kuroiwa he reached the medal ranks, but lost in the fight for the final against Salvatore Todisco . The bronze medal he won in the process remained the only Olympic medal in Zambia until 1996, when Samuel Matete won the silver medal in the 400-meter hurdles .
In 1991 Keith Mwila played his only professional fight in Tanzania , which he lost on points to Fike Wilson.
