The First Milestone ( English for First Milestone ) is next to the Second Milestone one of two wave-breaking reef rocks off the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 3 km northwest of Cape Saunders .
Discovery Investigations scientists mapped and named the rock between 1926 and 1930.
