Egon Richter

Egon Richter (born December 12, 1932 in Bansin ; † June 14, 2016 there ) was a German journalist and writer .

Life

Richter, the son of a worker, was sent by his parents to the "Otto Lilienthal" grammar school in Anklam for two years in 1947 . He then attended the newly founded high school in Heringsdorf and graduated from high school in 1951. He then worked as a trainee with the General German Intelligence Service (ADN) in Berlin and studied German and pedagogy there . He then worked as a journalist and from 1955 as a freelancer for “ Sonntag ”. From 1965 he lived as a freelance writer in his hometown. He was chairman of the GDR Writers' Association in the Rostock district . Egon Richter was the nephew of Hans Werner Richter .

Richter died at the age of 83.
