Paul Günter Krohn

Paul Günter Krohn (born March 26, 1929 in Klaipėda , Lithuania, † June 30, 1979 in Berlin ) was a German literary scholar and poet .

Life

In 1948/1949 he attended the workers and farmers faculty in Halle (Saale) . There he studied literature, history and economics until 1953. Until 1979 he worked in the collective for literary history of the Volk und Wissen publishing house in Berlin. He worked as an editor and publicist and was a co-author of the history of German literature , the lexicon of German-language writers and the anthology German storytellers of the 20th century . He has published poems in various magazines and anthologies and published two volumes of poetry. In 1979 he had a fatal accident in Berlin. His grave is in the Pankow IV cemetery in Berlin-Niederschönhausen .
