History and description

The single-storey house was built in 1927 according to plans by the architect Wilhelm Pfuhl . Stylistically, the house resembles a country house . Elements of traditionalism as well as elements of international style and expressionism characterize this house.

Inside, the building is richly decorated with decorative elements in a pure Art Deco style, such as stucco rosettes and the handrail in the stairwell .

The clinker masonry and wood enclosure from the construction period is also well preserved .

Monument protection

The house is a typical example of the country house style in Darmstadt in the 1920s. For architectural, architectural and urban historical reasons, the house is a cultural monument .
