Lists on the subject

The SUB-2000 is a self-loading carbine for pistol cartridges from the US manufacturer Kel-Tec . The weapon is a further development of the SUB-9 in a new design. The increased use of plastics is intended to increase durability while reducing production costs.

Compared to a pistol, the manufacturer sees the advantages in a greater range and precision. In contrast, of course, is the larger construction of the carbine compared to a pistol.

The weapon consists of six assemblies: barrel, slide, frame, trigger group, buttstock and magazine.

The SUB-2000 folded up

To make the weapon easy to transport, the barrel with the plastic handguard can be folded up / back. This reduces the length of the weapon to 406 mm.

Depending on the version, the following gun magazines can be used:

For safety reasons, cartridges with aluminum sleeves must not be fired from the carabiner.

The following accessories are available from the manufacturer: rifle pouch, 10-shot magazine, holder for spare magazine (to be attached to the shoulder rest), Picatinny rail , short hand guard , telescopic sight attachment
