history

The building was originally the quarters of the donor's master builder. From 1814 the corner house belonged to the accountant Heinrich Schreiber. In 1847 the property rights were transferred to the Margaretha and Josephinenstiftung. From 1855 there was a bank and in 1928 a drugstore in the former winery. During the 1980s the professional association of visual artists and the scouts of St. Lorenz had their seat there. In 1998 the foundation finally sold the building to a building contractor. After his death, the building slowly fell into disrepair. In 2009, the renovation of the building, which was canceled again in 2010, began. In 2012 there was a foreclosure auction of the building. The starting price was 335,000 euros.
