Kelly Lin ( Chinese  林熙蕾 , Pinyin Lín Xīlěi , Cantonese  Lam Hei Lui ; born October 29, 1975 in Taiwan ) is a Taiwanese actress and model . She appears mostly in Hong Kong films.

life and work

Kelly Lin was born in Taiwan in 1975, but emigrated with her family to Los Angeles , California , where she was raised, when she was nine years old. After graduating from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in economics and comparative literature , she initially aimed for a career in show business in her country of birth. She recorded some demo tapes and tried her hand at the beginning of her artistic career as a singer, although she became a popular model because of her appearance .
