Kelly West

Kelly West is a deeply eroded impact crater in the middle of the Northern Territory of Australia . It was discovered during an official geological mapping and announced in 1973. A multitude of cones of rays proves the impact. A 2 km circular hill made of quartzite is interpreted as the central mountain of the complex crater. Investigations from 2006 show an original crater diameter of 6.6 km. The impact occurred over 550 million years ago.
