Keltie Head is a rounded headland that forms the northwestern end of the West Antarctic Vega Island . It marks the eastern boundary of the entrance from the Prinz Gustav Canal to the Herbert Sound . It is characterized by vertical cliffs and rises in the form of a 395  m high ice dome .

Participants of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) discovered the cape . Expedition leader Otto Nordenskjöld named it Cape Scott Keltie after John Scott Keltie (1840–1927), Secretary of the Royal Geographical Society from 1892 to 1915. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee modified this name in 1960.
