content

The Kemono Agency for Supernatural Phenomena sends detective Kohachi Inugami to a remote village. For some time now, dead animals whose innards were eaten have been found there at new moon. In the village Inugami meets the neglected boy Kabane, who is avoided by all villagers and instead of going to school works in the fields. It turns out that Kabane is a half- ghoul whose true nature is suppressed by a life stone from his parents. But behind the incidents there is another being that Inugami can kill with Kabane's help. As the boy's true identity became known, he was unable to stay in the village and was taken to Tokyo by Inugami.

In town, Kabane can support the detective on other assignments involving Kemono - supernatural beings. His skills as a ghoul are often helpful.
