Altraverse is a German publisher for manga and related products based in Hamburg .
The publishing house was founded in 2017 under the direction of Joachim Kaps , who previously worked at Tokyopop and before that at Carlsen Verlag . After leaving Tokyopop, Joachim Kaps decided on a trip to Japan, together with others who were already active in the German manga market, to found a new publishing house. The program started in April 2018. After the publisher had released two dozen titles under license, the first in-house production came out in October, Eislicht by Anike Hage .
